The Virunga mountains’ treasure

We are honoured to present you exceptional coffees, cultivated on remarkable lands in Central and East Africa, more precisely on the banks of Lake Kivu and the Virunga mountainside.

This ideal environment for the cultivation of green coffee beans is located at approximately 1500 metres high, contributing to a unique taste in its kind.
Additionally, our partnerships with the local institutions COOPAC and COOPAC Limited enable us to guarantee the respect of the workers by adopting a fairtrade system.
Virunga Coffee is mainly a story about sharing, a rich cultural patrimony and inheritance that we want to
share with you today.

Missions and values

Our main mission consists in putting a light on Central Africa and its local producers by merchandising a unique coffee of superior quality, Organic and Fairtrade certified.
One of our most important values is the respect of our producers, the environment and our products.
Consequently, Virunga Coffee commits to supply a coffee that is composed of a complex aroma while putting a particular attention to its 100% Organic bean, meaning that:
– The beans are picked once mature to guarantee the subtlety of its aroma
– They do not contain any chemical products that are harmful for one’s health
– They are natural and healthier In addition, we stand firmly behind fair trading for the ultimate purpose of reducing social and environmental inequalities throughout the world which unfortunately still remain too prevalent in our society.

In doing so, we cooperate with COOPAC and COOPAC Limited that guarantee the consideration and respect of all our employees who are present in the supply chain.

Biodegradable capsules

At Virunga Coffee, we commit to considerably reduce waste and contribute to the protection of the environment.
In doing so, we offer 100% biodegradable capsules that are compatible with Nespresso coffee machines.
